Abstract:

The internet changed the way we live, it opened the highway to unlimited communication and revolutionized access to information, but it failed greatly regarding our digital freedom. Instead of providing a safe environment for online communication, the internet evolved into a system of centralized intermediaries which enable mass surveillance and data mining to enforce intrusive ad campaigns or sell our data as they see fit. Furthermore, current Web2 services established models that prevent users to own their data or their identities. Now more than ever secure online communication, privacy and data ownership is becoming more and more important as we depend on it every day. To address this issue, 4thTech enables E2EE (i.e. end-to-end encrypted) Web3 communication & data management in the form of dID, dMail, dChat & dNotary. 4thTech initiative strives to enable a self-sovereign framework of data authorization and ownership representation and leverages the power of blockchain to facilitate data source and time confirmation. The protocols in its core prevent ads, tracking and data mining! This whitepaper was written as a hybrid addressing the 4thpillar Technologies product benefits and solutions. Over 200+ project whitepaper versions were written before the last published version.

# Blockchain 4thTech e-delivery cross-platform client and enterprise access point development proposal technical paper

Abstract:

We propose a blockchain electronic data and document exchange cross-platform client (i.e., win, os, android, ios), that will provide electronic data and document exchange with document notarisation and digital identity mechanism between users in a reliable, safe and trusted way. Additionally, we aim to develop Access Point (i.e. AP) to leverage trust and direct blockchain connectivity. The proposed 4thTech cross-platform client is an upgrade to the existing blockchain electronic data and document exchange protocol (i.e. FOURdx), that is currently accessible and operational online. Blockchain eDelivery has significant security advantages, comparing to traditional eDelivery. It is based on a distributed model where electronic data and documents exchange process runs between blockchain wallets, where private and public cryptographic keys are used for transaction authentication. Existing 4thTech solution is capable of; (1) connecting senders and receivers by executing electronic data and document exchange; (2) performing eDelivery based on the current EU guidelines, and; (3) archiving securely encrypted data. After two years of MVP testing, the technical feasibility and its practical potential have been proven, with that, the blockchain cross-platform eDelivery client development proposal has merit. The technical paper was written as a part of the technical documentation CEF Telecom tender package (CEF-TC-2020-1 – eDelivery) submitted to European Commission in Q2 2020.

Abstract:

Privacy in online communication is a fundamental right of every person. Exchanging private E2EE instant messages securely over the internet without data mining, ads or tracking should be easy and accessible to all. Blockchain technology proposes the ideal foundation to enable this solution. Up to now, on-chain instant messaging deployment would be hard to achieve due to slow blockchain network speed, congestion and transaction cost. With the arrival of the Solana blockchain on-chain, instant messaging is becoming a reality. To address this issue the 4thTech developed a Solana-based dChat, which leverages blockchain trust to provide end-to-end encrypted immutable on-chain messaging.

Abstract:

4thpillar Technologies (i.e., 4thTech) main innovation is the blockchain data eDelivery and document notarisation protocol, accompanied by a unique digital identity solution. Compared to existing systems, the 4thTech solution offers secure cross-border immutable service upgrade. Main protocol technical innovation reveals from the fact that the exchange data is not stored on the blockchain (e.g., storing or sending documents through any blockchain would be unsustainable). The electronic data and documents are stored off-chain. The protocol records links to encrypted files and hashes of the encrypted content on the blockchain. This safeguards the rights of individuals to confidentiality and privacy. Designed and built completely by 4thpillar Technologies, the protocol MVP is fully operational, ready for testing and provides the core technology solution for Europe’s public and private sector.

The overall strategy of the 4thpillar Technologies is based on the implementation and adoption of the project's blockchain digital identity, data eDelivery and Notarisation solutions, to enable the cost-efficient transition to immutable, cross-border and green DLT systems.

Abstract:

Blockchain technology enables an alternative incentive mechanism through FEE tokenization.1 Tokenization addresses the weaknesses such as cybersecurity and disintermediation while enabling advantages such as; (1) 24/7 borderless access; (2); the speed of execution (3) lower transaction (i.e., TX) cost; (5) scalability, and; (6) transparency. As the cost of developing experimental blockchain technology projects is higher, a clear revenue model strategy is crucial. 4thTech creates value by connecting electronic data senders and recipients into a marketplace, enabling them to exchange sensitive data in the form of metadata, data files and instant messages from wallet to wallet using secure decentralized public blockchains. This value is monetized with the help of FEE tokenization.
